Cultural Humility: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Ethics: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
The NASW Code of Ethics states that “cultural competence requires self-awareness, cultural humility, and the commitment to understanding and embracing culture as central to effective practice.” (NASW Code of Ethics 2008) This workshop will explore the concept of cultural humility and how changing demographics impact our work as social workers. Participants will have the opportunity to practice strategies to identify and address barriers when working with diverse cultures and experiences.
