Corporate matching gifts are a type of philanthropy in which companies financially match donations that their employees make to nonprofit organizations.

When an employee makes a donation, they’ll request a matching gift from their employer. The employer then makes their own donation to the nonprofit. Companies usually match donations at a 1:1 ratio, but some will match at a 2:1, 3:1, or even a 4:1 ratio.

Some companies also give their employees the ability to give to a selected charity directly from their paycheck. Funds are then disbursed monthly or quarterly to the charity.

For more information about implementing these, please reach out to Katie at kveatch@clearbrook.org

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, businesses that have diversified their workforce to include people with disabilities reported a 90% increase in retention of valued employees and a 72% percent increase in employee productivity.

Individuals with disabilities have untapped potential that can set your business apart from the rest! In addition, your company can qualify for federal and state tax deductions.

Clearbrook staff are available to host a lunch & learn at your office. This includes a presentation about Clearbrook's mission of empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The focus can be on the full scope of the mission or a piece that more closely aligns with your work. This can be paired with a volunteer opportunity. Lunch & Learns can also be hosted virtually.

Clearbrook is also available for tours. This is truly the best way to see our mission in action! A typical tour takes about 90 minutes but can be customized to suit your schedule.

These are great ways to engage your employees in the Clearbrook mission, and they are a great first step to building a lasting partnership!
