EXHIBIT HALL will include providers specializing in serving individuals with a disability & their families. Areas of expertise represented will include adaptive equipment, behavioral & clinical services, benefits, durable medical equipment, employment, fiscal employer agents, home and vehicle modifications, housing, legal, family supports, social services & training.

ENTREPRENEUR HALLWAY will feature individuals with a disability who have a small business. Products will be available for sale during the exhibit hall hours and lunch.


New Perspectives, New Paradigms, and New Conversations (11:00AM-12:15PM)
Director Greg Fenton, Department of Human Services, Division of Developmental Disabilities
In his presentation, Greg Fenton will talk about the changes taking place in the DD system which are being driven by national trends and new expectations by CMS. Greg will highlight the importance of paying attention to important paradigm shifts in the field of developmental disabilities which will enable DD to effectively respond to changes taking place in the internal and external task environments.

Employment Shift: The Changing Employment Service System for People with Disabilities (1:00PM-2:15PM)
Lore Baker, Statewide Housing and Employment First Coordinator
This session will provide information on the advancement of employment service system changes for persons with disabilities in Illinois. WIOA, HCBS, Sheltered Work, Day Training, Competitive Integrated Employment, Supported Employment, Customized Employment, Benefits Planning, Employment First.

Health Care for Persons with a Disability in Illinois (2:30PM-4:00PM)
Stephanie Altman, Director of Healthcare Justice, Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law
This session will cover health care coverage options including Medicaid, Marketplace, Medicare Coverage outlining the eligibility and benefits under each insurance option for people with disabilities. Medicaid managed care and changes to the delivery system for people with developmental disabilities will be discussed.
